Harris Hill gained 10 new interior firefighters last night as they completed the NYS Interior Firefighter Operations class! These members put in extensive hours training to ensure they are ready to serve our community! Those who competed the class are: Raghu Madola, Brad Vespa, Patrick Fien, Justin Friedman, Alex Swann, Ben Plessinger, Mike Williams, Claudia Bauerenfiend, Holly Bauerenfiend, and Loretta Cucinotta.

On Saturday, (5-27-23), Memorial Day, Henry Furminger from the Clarence High School Band played Taps @ the Harris Hill Vol Fire Company in recognition of those fallen service members. To honor their life and service to this county.

On Monday 5-15-23, Our firefighters trained with National Fuel on suppression techniques of natural gas related fires. Firefighters cycled through several different evolutions involving both high and low pressured gas lines.

Saturday the Harris Hill VFC teamed up with Old Navy and the NYS Police for its annual Safety Fair @ the Eastgate Plaza. Great weather and being able to interact and show off some of our equipment.

Tonight, May 10th, we went to the Cheektowaga Training Tower for drill with our brothers and sisters from Main-Transit Fire Department. This evening 12 firefighters took time to practice their skills on basement fires.

This evening, May 6th, 2023, firefighters are celebrating the installment of the firematic, administrative, exempt and auxiliary officers for the 2023 year. A special thank you to the master of ceremonies Carl Fischer and Bowmansville Volunteer Fire Association for assisting us this evening!

Congratulations to our newest NYS certified Emergency Medical Technician- Basic, Danny Geary! Danny completed this course at 17 years old and is now fully certified to practice life saving techniques!

We’d like to announce the delivery of our new Rescue 4, dropped off at the station earlier today. This unit will be utilized as an EMS unit to assist with medical calls throughout our district. The new vehicle will be placed into service within the next few weeks.

Last night, (11-19-22) the County of Erie asked for help in many of the Southern communities. Harris Hill Vol Fire Company answered the call with 8 members and 3 SUV's, assisting the Angola fire departments.

Congratulations to junior firefighter Abdul Allahbaksh for successfully completing the New York State interior and exterior firefighter operations course. This 100+ hour course was held over the last several months and required a lot of time and dedication.
